The Component Information System (CIS) is an information access tool
built to improve information accessibility. CIS is accessible, using
secure communication, via the Internet (World Wide Web). This
innovative system brings together data from all services performed by Brooks Associates, Inc. (Brooks) and securely adds a global,
Internet-wide reach to inspection results. Additionally, CIS manages
documents and component drawings making it a powerful tool for both
planning and data analysis.

Standard Modules
- Documents: There is no limit to the number, category,
or type of document that can be stored. Document files can be one of
many different types supported by CIS including industry standard PDF
files as well as common office suite software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
- Physical Description: With a hierarchical view of your
component (Steam Generator, Reactor Vessel, etc.), finding drawings is
greatly improved. With its drill-down approach to information access,
the physical description module is a great location for providing
general training to individuals not familiar with your components.
- Inspection Data: Deliverables provided by Brooks as
part of typical inspection services includes images, video clips and
tapes, and reports. The inspection data module of CIS stores and
manages these types of data.
