BROOKS has implemented the following programs to ensure quality in the products and services we provide.

Brooks Certification ProgramsQA/QC Program. A formal and documented program covering company operations ensuring work activities meet the highest industry standards. In the nuclear industry, we work to 10CFR Part 50 and referenced ASME, ANSI, ASNT, etc. requirements.

Personnel Certification Program.
A formal and documented training program using standard industry practices, including separate classroom, mock-up/laboratory and field experience requirements.


Equipment Certification Program.
A formal and documented equipment readiness program, using documented processes for design, functional testing, qualification testing, maintenance and operation.

Safety ProgramSafety Program. A formal and documented program for industrial and personnel safety, including training, a Safety Officer and company policies, procedures and safety equipment.

Corrective Action Program. A formal and documented program feeding experience and lessons learned from all aspects of company operations back into those operations, i.e. the heart of a continuous improvement philosophy.

Document Control Program. A formal and documented program for creation, approval, storage, retrieval, use and revision of company documents.

Nuclear PlantChemistry Control Program. A formal and documented program for verification that materials and chemicals used in tools and equipment are safe for use inside nuclear power plant components. This includes elements within the Equipment Design Process, Equipment Maintenance Process and Field Operations Process.

FFD Program. A formal and documented at Brooks implements a comprehensive Fitness For Duty program, including company policies and procedures covering both Brooks facilities, as well as customer facilities.

CBO Program. Brooks supervisors and managers are trained in Continuous Behavior Observation requirements and techniques as part of our FFD program.

Engineering EvaluationInternal Technology Funding Program. Brooks has a formal program for technology advancement. Brooks annually funds technology development to preserve the concept of ALARA and provide the latest technology to our customer base.

Backup Equipment Program. A minimum of one redundant system will be at site during inspections with two additional systems in the office for every job.


Software Development Program.
All software used for field equipment is developed in-house and is controlled within the Design Process, including verification and validation of software function and operation.

Nuclear PlantEngineering Evaluations Program. As part of our Corrective Action Program, Brooks performs formal Root Cause Analysis of all significant issues, including access and use of Westinghouse Engineering groups.

IT Department. Brooks has a fully staffed IT department, providing support to Field Operations at both Brooks and Customer facilities. Brooks has used this resource to integrate communication, control and network capabilities for the improvement of the effectiveness and efficiency of Field Operation.

Materials Certification Program. This program was started by Westinghouse to insure any materials used inside the S/G is compatible with the materials used to construct the S/G's as well as the water chemistry used during operation. Should a vendor use any detrimental materials either because they are not acutely aware of this program or because these detrimental materials are cheaper to use affects many different utility based programs. These utility based programs are Alloy 600, chemistry and steam quality.
